Austin Utter, Edison

Went 15-for-18 at the plate with six doubles, two home runs and 14 RBIs. He also pitched a complete game in a 9-1 win Monday. In the second game of a doubleheader against Sandusky, Utter belted a walk-off home run — his second of the game — to give the Chargers a 7-6 win.

Softball

Gina Campo, Westlake

Scored the game-winning run in an 8-7 win over Amherst and had three hits, including a triple, with five RBIs and two stolen bases in a 10-0 win over Bay.

Boys Track

Brentten Wiley, Avon

Won the 110-meter hurdles (15.53) and was part of Avon’s 400-meter and sprint relays that placed first at the 36th Avon Reynolds Relays. The Eagles finished second as a team with 106 points.

Girls Track

Brittany Gates, Keystone

Placed first in the 100 (career best 12.81 FAT), first in the long jump (16’9.5”), first in the 4x100 (51.03) and second in the 4x200 (1:49.37) to help lead the Wildcats to a team championship at the Mapleton Night Invitational.

Tennis

Trevor Bowers, Norwalk

Won the championship at the top singles flight at the Northern Ohio League Tournament, earning First Team All-NOL honors. He won with scores of 6-0, 6-0, 6-0, 6-0, 6-2 and 6-1.
